My name is Charlotte Michele Ernst. I am a Freelance Photographer from Iserlohn, Germany, based between Berlin and Mexico. I studied Photography at BTK University of Applied Sciences from 2011 to 2015. I am currently doing a Master's Program in Visual and Media Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin.
I consider myself as a visual story teller who uses photography as a tool to dive into unknown realities, exploring the complexity of hybrid identity in human relationships.
A big part of my work focusses on long-term documentary projects on the human face of migration in different parts of the world.
My photographical explorations occur by meeting individuals and groups that are socially and culturally independent through a self-determined, unconventional lifestyle born out of the believe to cultivate the responsibility of sharing the inner state in order to elevate one's personal freedom.
